QBall was a friend of the late Sublime singer Bradley Nowell and participated in bassline creations and recording during the making of the Sublime Robbin The Hood record. Mike Q-Ball Houlihan was also a large long time music festival / concert producer with long history of booking venues including The Vex LA, The Fleetwood LA, Fender's Ball Room Long Beach, 5902 club / Night Moves Huntington Beach, Spats HB, Waters Club San Pedro, Sun Dance Film Festivals Park City Utah "Harry O's", Owner & Producer of Hemp Fest Las Vegas, licensed to Costa Rica, licensed to Puerto Rico as well as partners with Seattle HempFest, also Smoke & Grooves Fest, and more.

"Record Label"

In the 80s Mike Q-Ball Houlihan had bought out his long time partner "Monk" Mark Wilson and purchased 100% of the recording rights of the group Social Distortion and their catalog of Social Distortions first three records. Mike Q-Ball Houlihan quickly signed a deal with new partners Triple xxx records and re-released Social Distortion's recordings to the newly introduced CD. The label grew fast with new artists including Jane's Addiction, Bad Manners and more. Mike Q-Ball Houlihan eventually sold his interest in Social Distortion and the label back to Social Distortion, Sony Music / Time Bomb recordings. In the early 90,s Mike Q-Ball Houlihan also was executive director of Black Market Records in Sacramento to oversee all operations for artist Daz Dillinger, Mozzy, Brotha Lynch Hung, XRaided, C-BO and more and eventually became co owner of the label and still runs Black Market Records in Las Vegas today.
